Karen Kennedy was raised in Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in 1987 from The University of Texas at Austin in Plan II with Special Honors. Plan II is a unique challenging interdisciplinary curriculum with a strong emphasis on problem solving, critical and analytical skills, with strong emphasis on writing. Karen earned Special Honors for her thesis on the architectural and political history of Winchester, England.
Karen continued her studies on the graduate level while raising three children and working as an advocate for children’s issues including access to special education benefits, quality childcare and alternative therapies for treating disabilities.
Karen attended Baylor Law School where she earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2011. Since graduating from law school, Karen has worked in complex litigation and gained first chair trial and appellate experience.
In July 2016, Karen became an associate at The Ammons Law Firm and will focus her practice on product liability litigation and helping clients who have sustained serious injuries and/or lost loved ones due to the negligence of another party.
